Tharmarasan Tharmaseelan, 37, who was abducted by unidentified men Saturday night, was found shot dead with his hands tied behind near a Sri Lanka Navy (SLN) check post in Kayts town, north-west of Jaffna, Sunday morning. The body of Tharmarasan, a motorbike mechanic was found on Suruvil road, about 500 metres from a Sri Lanka Navy check post, and Kayts court, residents in the area said. Tharmarasan was visiting his friend when four men, allegedly members of the paramilitary group, EPDP and Sri Lanka Navy entered the house and took him away, according to the residents.  Tharmarasan, father of five, is from Pandaitharippu.
