Wakeley Paul is a graduate of Cambridge University and an LLM Master of Laws from Stanford. He is a Barrister at Law, Middle Temple, London, a former Crown Counsel, Ceylon for 11 years and a Criminal Defence Attorney in New Jersey for 33 years. He  is  a former President, Thamil Sangam USA, an Association of Tamils living in the US. He represented the Tamils on behalf of the Thamil Sangam, at the United Nations Human Rights Commission in Geneva in the 80's and 90's.
